Cilantro
Cilantro
from $24.00
A long green stem with very leafy top — and full-on cilantro flavor! Grown primarily for broad, deep green color and pungent celery-like foliage. As a microgreen, cilantro is a “long grow” but well worth it. Not only for the strong cilantro flavor but for the sweet aroma these greens emit. Use in any recipe that calls for cilantro. Rich in vitamins A and C, calcium, iron, and phosphorus.
Cilantro ( aka., “coriander”) seeds are actually the dried, ripe fruit of the plant, called a shizocarp. A schizocarp is a dry fruit that splits into single-seeded parts when ripe. Cracking can help with germination by releasing the seed.
